So, you've heard about podcasting. You've even listened to some good podcasts created by other teachers and their students. You're ready for the next step: podcasting for yourself!
But you're not ready for all that goes along with creating and posting a podcast - learning audio software, purchasing microphone headset, figuring out how to post the podcast to the web...
Enter - GCast. Their site boasts, "So easy your grandma can do it." Well - maybe... or maybe not... But you can definitely do it!
Go to http://www.gcast.com/ and click on Create Your Podcast for Free. You will be directed through a step-by-step registration procedure. In the end you will receive a telephone number to call and a pin number to enter. This will allow you to record a podcast directly from your cell phone (or land line). Easy as pie!
Now - where the rubber meets the road - educational applications: I'm going to open this up for discussion. How might you use a podcast that you created to support your instruction? What are you waiting for? Get podcasting!
